Cave Living 2 -- Walking along new turf.

Sunday, July 20, 2014

I'm not yet sure where I'm planning to with this. I was having second thoughts as 1.8 could be released any day now, with new blocks, mobs, and world generation features - It could be silly of me to start anew just before a giant update. Though I'm having fun, so I'll roll with it until the new things arise.

While thinking on about what true project(s) I plan to work on, I enjoyed basically 'building into' the landscape around me. I've tried to keep the terrain intact, added a lake underneath the bridge... I absolutely love detail, hopefully I'm not overdoing it! Flowers are the best, but if you have too many, it's just overwhelming.
'As soon as I woke up from a good night's rest within these unknown lands, I got to work. I began to tunnel through the nearby hill, so I can expand out my building area, and explore what lies across...'
'I decided the hill beside me could be of use later. For now, I made it a relaxing hang-out area to share with friends... (ocelots count as friends, right?)'
'Please, you can't bring too many books... give me a good reason why.'
'I spent the afternoon here, just watching the clouds roll by.
The view isn't amazing, although it's a cozy feeling within this cave.
'Upstairs, I added another seating area, fit with music for anyone to enjoy.'

Cave Living 1 -- It's a new world!

Saturday, July 19, 2014

I've decided to start over with a new world on my Realms server.
For now it'll just be me working, but if some friends want to join in, they'll surely be welcome!

As I do on most new worlds, I find a cave to dive into as my 'home base.' It's a creative world, although it's a silly little comfort of mine, and it can be honestly quite fun! I love to detail caves to the max.
I also wanted to add an RPG feel, so I used the John Smith Legacy resource pack.
(which I got from... here!)
'I made a bridge linking two caves together. I've only worked on one so far, I may put something into the other, though I'm still thinking of what could go in there!'
'The entrance to my cozy, little abode. Nothing spectacular, but hey, welcoming nonetheless.'
'A young pup has joined me to keep my company in my new home. I've hung my tools on the wall for the night, as it's getting dark outside. I'll cook up some of the wheat I planted, so I can have warm bread for dinner tonight.'
'I've done my best to organize the items I packed into chests, but I'll soon need to expand as I gather new materials. Seems rascal has smelled some treats, and has taken an interest into staring at that chest...'
'I'll have a cool-off splash in my pond after a hot day outside, and then cozy myself up in bed, near the fire.I traveled to this 'new world' with several books on hand, now neatly lined up on the shelves I handcrafted. I'm not sure which I should read first...'

So.. hello there!

Hi, and I suppose.. welcome! Creating the first post is always the most awkward, right? So that gives me the priviledge to make this post more awkward that it should be... Just roll with it.

In the realms of the internet, I go by the name Luna. Nothing uncommon, just a shortened version of my Minecraft username: Lunalark! A friend once told me that the name made no sense at all; luna means moon, referring to the night, and a lark is a bird -- one that comes out during the day!

I have no expectations of viewers or followers. I just had the sudden urge to emerge myself back into a community of bloggers and have fun with it. I've run several video game blogs in the past (most when I was a youngin!) and I'd like to give it a shot with the widely popular game, Minecraft!

So, what am I here for?
I'm going to try and bring stories to this realm, along with unique builds and any little tips and tricks I can think of (that the world doesn't already know!) I'll do my best to always post original content -- If I am borrowing ideas from anyone else, I will be sure to make note of it.

To be honest, these are just my current expectations of what this could become, it could eventually grow into something completely different! But only time can tell us that, so allow me to begin.
I greatly appreciate you taking a moment to check out my page, I hope I can give you some form of happiness in return!
